With 20 years in corporate management experience (Anglo, Nedcor Bank, Absa, Barclays and Discovery) during which he served 2 years at Managing Director level, and 5 at Executive management level, he also launched and owned 3 entrepreneurial ventures in own capacity in unrelated fields. Jacques is FSB registered management KI for STI, Cat 1, 2 and 3 and has attended multiple executive development programmes.
In this industry he has 8 Years direct distribution experience in financial services managing up to 600 call centre seats, some of which were owned, insourced and outsourced. He also led a best practice outbound call centre sales implementation for Barclays from ground zero to top performance, managed a Short term insurance brokerage book of 120 000 clients via intermediaries plus 22 000 direct clients. He was directly responsible for managing Direct sales channels with up to 300 000 sales per annum in Funeral, Accidental death, Critical Illness, Gap cover, extended cover etc and led and was involved in several Financial services product developments (Short term insurance, Gap Cover, Accidental death, Category B and C life, Medical, Loyalty). He has specialist skills in Change management and turnaround strategies, call centre implementations, new product development.
