Following a career spanning over 15 years in the contact centre business, both in the UK and South Africa, I have undertaken various corporate ventures in the industry with great success. Having founded Talksure six years ago, I currently hold the position of Chairman within the organisation.

My journey in the call centre industry began in 1989 in the UK. I established a telesales company which became the leading distributor of cellular devices for the UK’s largest mobile networks. During that period, we were able to sell more than 750 000 mobile contracts in the UK. In 2003, I relocated to South Africa and established an offshore BPO organisation which sold mobile contracts back to the UK and traded for a period of seven years in this area of the industry.

In 2010, Talksure was established with just 60 people and a few test campaigns, since then the company has grown greatly, and today employs more than 700 employees and is seen as a partner of choice.

Talksure is a customer contact centre, financial services provider and outsource partner. We are the most successful contact centre in the area of marketing Medical Aid Gap Cover over the phone in South Africa. We are seen as a key strategic partner of some of South Africa’s leading brands and we develop and market our own products.

Our business ethos also extends towards our employees. Despite our immense growth, we have maintained a family like culture. We care about our staff and their communities and show this in our employee benefits and engagement, as well as in our CSR initiatives – one of which extends to my passion for food.  As an ardent lover of food and restaurateur, I founded Food 4 Thought, a charity organisation which operates to assist and support the street children of Durban through funding support from a network of restaurants nationally, as well as the sale of a compilation recipe book of top dishes from participating restaurants.
